  5. Overview of the PQL Process DDC recommends contractors apply on PQLs as soon as possible. Only those contractors who are pre-qualified for a particular PQL and included on that PQL as of the bid solicitation date will be permitted to bid on projects selected for bidding to that particular PQL. Open with no end date at this time. Benefits of establishing PQLs Shorter contract procurement and award times Bids are received only from contractor who possess the requisite experience and qualifications 5

Small GC The Applicant for this PQL must, during the past consecutive five (5) years prior to being accepted on the PQL, have successfully completed at least three (3) general construction projects with a construction cost range of $500,000 to less than $3,000,000 for each project. In addition the Applicant must, submit at least one project that they have performed or managed work which included interior renovation and mechanical, electrical and/or plumbing system upgrades. Such prior projects may have been performed as a prime contractor or subcontractor. 9

Medium GC The Applicant for this PQL must, during the past consecutive five (5) years prior to being accepted on the PQL, have successfully completed at least three (3) general construction projects with a construction cost range of $3,000,000 to less than $10,000,000 for each project. In addition the Applicant must, submit at least one project that they have performed or managed work which included interior renovation and mechanical, electrical and/or plumbing system upgrades. Such prior projects may have been performed as a prime contractor or subcontractor. 10

Large GC The Applicant for this PQL must, during the past consecutive five (5) years prior to being accepted on the PQL, have successfully completed at least three (3) general construction projects with a construction cost range of greater than $10,000,000 for each project. In addition the Applicant must, submit at least one project that they have performed or managed work which included interior renovation and buildings-wide system upgrades. Such prior projects may have been performed as a prime contractor or subcontractor. 11

Special Experience Requirements Proof of Applicant’s experience and capabilities in general construction work: Provide a summary list of at least three (3), and no more than six (6), projects that best represent the Applicant’s experience.
