PROPOSED CAPITAL IMPROVEMENT PROGRAM FY2020 – FY2024
CAPITAL IMPROVEMENT PROGRAM (CIP) Drafted annually & parallels with the City’s annual operating budget process. Five year outlook allows for planning & prioritization of projects. Projects are grouped by type: Parks, Transportation, Stormwater, Water, Wastewater, and Municipal Facilities & Equipment. Once finalized, all projects listed in the FY2020 column are to be included in the annual operating budget.
CIP PROCESS Departments submit CIP projects to Finance to format for discussion. Projects are assigned a Project Number (not numbered by priority). Cash Flows are created for each funding source identified. Multiple meetings are held with the City Manager and Department Directors to discuss projects and to determine the priorities.
