A local food group with over 350 members that supports producers, manufacturers & retailers of local food, drink and crafts in Hampshire
Founded 25 years ago by a small group of local food producers who wanted to increase awareness of local food
In 1996 they approached Hampshire County Council for support HCC offered to set up an office and provide staff to promote the local food, drink and craft producers

Key Activities • Run a membership organisation to lift the profile of local food, drink and crafts businesses • Produce a directory promoting these businesses • Fortnightly members e-newsletter • Monthly networking events • Promote members news and activities through website and social media
Key Activities continued… • Organise and promote The Great Hampshire Sausage & Pie Competition • Organise annual food festival and programme • Arrange “Meet the Buyer” events • Attract funding and undertake special projects • Monthly e-newsletter to 14,000 consumer subscribers
Special Projects • Preserve The Hampshire Hog – Making Pig Farming more profitable by showing producers how to make new pork products • Launched Hampshire Charcuterie with funding from The Prince’s Countryside Fund
