CNAM Museum National Conservatory of Arts and Crafts A very unique French institution of long-standing and deep scientific tradition. Founded in 1794 to “improve the national industry and to demonstrate and teach the techniques useful for the industrial arts and for trade“ It has become an educational institution offering a wide range of engineering training programme and degrees (evening lectures). The collection of inventions is operated by the Musée des Arts et Métiers (1802) which is the oldest history of Science and Technics museum in Europe. 1852: First research laboratory
