  2. Garden Project *Grant received from Tide and Time in Spring of 2016 *Community members volunteered to build garden beds and cold frames. *Collaborated with administration. *School-wide project.

  3. Healthy School Toolkit: FoodCorps Action Plan *Collaborating with a representative of FoodCorps *Developing an annual action plan with school goals in hands on lessons, healthy cafeteria food and a schoolwide culture of health

  10. FoodCorps support... *Assisting the school with obtaining materials to promote healthy eating, and hands-on lessons and activities *Sharing resources with our families and getting the community involved

Snap- Ed: Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program *Organization funded by the USDA that provides learning opportunities for students in the classroom. *K-2: Taught lessons on healthy snacks, MyPlate, and nutrition. *3-6: Comparison of calories in different foods and making conscious health choices when it comes to eating.

  12. Sprout Scouts Year 1: 2016- 2017 *35-50 students met biweekly *Prepared garden beds *Planted seedlings *Held seedling fundraiser through FedCo. *Guest speakers - local farmers

  16. Sprout Scouts Year 2: 2017-2018 *60-70 students are currently enrolled. *Constructing cold frames to extend the season. *Seed fundraiser through FedCo. to raise money for snacks and materials.

  17. Multicultural Food Fair *Four different regions around the world represented. *Multiple families prepared foods and presented.

  18. Future Goals: What is next! -Educate about and utilize rain barrel and composter. -Continue to expand our current garden. -Expanding our Multi-Cultural event. -Construct an Outside Classroom to be utilized by teachers to extend learning opportunities.
