Impact of the Challenge Fund Connecting Leicester – Richard III •Funding: £2.9 million ERDF •Area: Leicester Picture related to project to be included here •Purpose: Maximise global interest in Leicester City Centre following discovery of the remains of Richard III with improvements to environment and destinations of the Cathedral and market area to encourage visitors and investment The planned relocation of Richard III statue in the new cathedral gardens
Impact of the Challenge Fund Creative Catalyst •Funding: £3.7 million ERDF •Area: Nottingham •Purpose: Support the development of a vibrant and thriving community of creative industries in Nottingham’s Creative Quarter with new workspace units and support to businesses helping them to grow Images indicative of Dakeyne Street’s refurbishment
