What we’re doing – Affordable Housing Inclusionary Zoning Policy Mandates developers build affordable housing units when they ask for zoning changes. Produces ‘affordable’ units for sale and rent in Kapolei Affordable Housing Fund Council Created Fund Provides grants and low-interest loans to developers building affordable units Accessory Dwelling Units Council initiated and approved bill authorizing ‘ADUs’ Provide second income for homeowners and affordable rentals in community

What we’re doing: Fixing and Opening Kapolei and Makakilo Roads Over $100 million Road Repaving Budget Funds set-aside for repair of Kamokila Boulevard, Kapolei Parkway, Portions of Farrington Highway and the streets within Villages of Kapolei Graphic: Makakilo Roads Repaved (Blue) Roads Planning to be Repaved (Red)
What we’re doing: Fixing and Opening Kapolei and Makakilo Roads Getting City to Accept and Maintain Roads in Villages of Kapolei Funds budgeted for repair of Streets within Villages of Kapolei Resolution 15-11 (passed), asked city to expedite transfer of roads to city so that maintenance can begin.
What we’re doing: Improving Rail Project Oversight More public meetings for rail finances Ensuring Rail Will Serve Families Commuting to Town At peak travel times, Rail will have capacity to take 9,600 people per hour from Kapolei station town-bound. AM & PM commute times, rail will run every five minutes and can carry up to 800 people per 4-car train. Kapolei – Downtown: 38-40 minutes.
