  3. Hobart’s 2016/2017 Season • 48 Ships – 40% increase, 2017/18 ,63 ships • This season 102,123 passengers, 44,588 crew 45% increase

Memorable Dates • First Ship- Arrives 7.30am (P.O.B) 22October, leaves at 5.30pm • Last ship is here for 2 days for Dark Mofo • 16 overnight visits • Hobart maiden voyages: Maasdam, Ovation of the Seas , Emerald Princess , Europa 2, Pacific Eden, Azamara Journey, Queen Mary 2, Artania, MS Sirena • Ovation of the Seas for 2 overnight visits • Think opportunity, think unique, research the ships, think different.

  7. Overnight Visits • Ovation overnight – markets, night tours, crew bar? • Ovation has 2500 crew, most finish work at 23.30, if 10% want to do something...... Crew offers via DST

  8. TTIC – Last minute passengers 2015/16 • 62% Australia • 19% North American • 4% NZ • 6% UK • 1.2% China • 7.5% Others • Predominately the same as the previous year, Chinese visitors doubled.

TTIC - Last minute passengers: • 85% booked short tours – ½ day or less • Almost 100% were guided by what their ship was offering as Shore Excursions • Australians - Hobart tours, Richmond & Mt Wellington tours . Prospect for return visit, word of mouth advocates • Internationals – Day tours, including Port Arthur, Huon Valley, Wildlife / Animals. • Everybody wanted some retail and a food experience

Where do you fit?  Shore Excursion (Pre-booked via the Cruise) • We would encourage the passengers to book shore excursions • Design unique experiences for the Cruise Customer, behind the scenes, added value  Pre Booked – (independent travellers) • Website – optimised to attract this sector • Word of mouth through social media and Tripadvisor
