Our Objectives Unique is a company which is founder and owned by a woman, which is the employees are dominance by women, and also produce women’s clothing that implements Indonesian fabric such as Batik and Lurik in every designs. Unique goals is want to introduce Indonesian fabric and women designers internationally by joining the TPSA program.
Understanding of Canada Market Opportunities Knowledge and Skills Gained: • Canada is one of the biggest country of the world in the North America, with 35 Million population that multi-race and multi-culture. • Canada is very dependent on import to fulfill their people needs and to achieve their economic growth. Canada also is the biggest market in the world with their NAFTA program that even bigger than USA. • With almost 5 million of its Asian citizen make Canada as a very potential market for Indonesia’s product, such as rubber, coffee, footwear and apparels, especially for women’s products, so we take the opportunity to join this TPSA program to bring our product to Canada. • Since Canada is a 4 seasons country and has a different fashion style and character so we have to adjust our product from every angles to penetrate the market and accepted by the buyers there.
One-On-One Consultations with Sector Experts Knowledge and Skills Gained: • The One-On-One consultations with the Sector Experts thru the workshop, email and WA communication really cover all the aspects of preparations we need to know to participate in International Trade Shows, mostly in market survey to understand the character of the market. • As communication is the key element to build a successful business relationship so the skill of product knowledge and know your company (KYC) to response to prospective buyers , especially not to make our business-partner to wait for our reply. • The Sector Experts from TPSA also monitoring and helping us in communicating with all the prospective buyers regarding material selection, cutting, style, colors, etc, either directly or thru the emails communication. • Mostly needed during the trade show when we meet and communicate directly with the walk-in visitors, how to welcome them until how to convince them about the strength of our products compare to others.

Product Design and Processing Knowledge and Skills Gained: • We did some adjustment to our designs that we made, such us adjustment in shape of product, length of product, long sleeve/sleeveless, and color combination, etc. • We did it because we want to our product can be suitable and accepted by Canada market. • While for production process, we keep improving our quality starts from the fabric till finished, and we also keep improving in our delivery time to be on time for customer satisfied. • Quality control is very important for every product that we made, so it must be done starts from material come to the warehouse till it is finished to be a good product. The main point is we must keep our customer satisfied to our product
Sales and marketing promotion materials Knowledge and Skills Gained: • By mastering the digital world in the business area will give us more benefit because by using digital market everybody in the world can access our brand/product anytime anywhere. This is the reason why we create the website and social media which is always online anytime, so it will help customer to know our product/prices/photo catalogue/material used/contact details, etc. • For offline market promotions, we still use banners in the booth to attract customer, and there is also a catalog book that is always updated according to the latest collections or even distributing brochures and business cards to visitors so they can store them. • We will push forward the online-selling more, from 20% into 80% in the future.
Trade Show Participation Knowledge and Skills Gained: • We prepared around 70 samples for attending Trade show in Canada, all the samples are our best samples which is suitable for Canada market as per advises from our buyer expert. We also prepared marketing tools for promoting our product directly, such as catalogue book, brochure, business card, guest book, company profile, and detail information about our web and social media. • Once upon on the Trade show in Toronto Canada, we prepared and managed our booth as interesting as we can, make it good look and neatly, and we came on time during the event hold. • Our buyer expert and TPSA team also help us, and give us some briefing and directions such us how to handle prospective buyer when they visited our booth, how to handle if there is questions asked from them, how to answer for every questions asked with correct and good manner. • Besides, we also asked every visitor who attended our booth to given us their detail in our guest book, or asked their business card if any for easy follow up. • When the trade show finished, we could send all visitors an email and be thankful for their coming, also asked them if any chances to make a cooperation. • The experiences and knowledges we got from our MAGIC Show (Las Vegas) and ATSC (Toronto) really helpful when we join the Trade Expo Indonesia in 2018 where we can deal and perform better than before we joined TPSA program.
Canadian Rules and Regulations and Export Procedures Knowledge and Skills Gained: • By joining in TPSA programme given us much knowledge about the rules and tariffs for entering Canada market. • To minimize the risks, we choose FOB system if any bilateral business happen in the future. • Regarding labeling product and specification product we will exactly following what is our buyer’s requirement. • We want to underline that the visitation program to CTT Groupe in Canada is really useful for us to open our horizon and ideas about the textile’s technology development. • Based on the visit to CTT Groupe, we implement some of the ideas to improve our products beyond just fashion, but also functional textiles
Interaction with Prospective Buyers Knowledge and Skills Gained: • The key for business relation is a having good communication correctly, fast response. More over we should give the best product with best design and quality along with the competitive price is a guidance when we want to have Export and import activity. • Build a good communication with prospective buyer which has introduced by TPSA is a good chances to enter Canada market. By communicate directly with them we can enrich our knowledge about their character, check the prices of product that have been sold for comparison, and learn how to make a negotiation that good for both parties. • No matter what is the final result, we should service them good, so we will able to keep a good relation and keep maintain the communication for the future. • We are improving our English language skills and employed special additional staff that fluently in English to help us.
Others Benefits By Joined TPSA programme: • We made the product using the design which is suitable with Canada market but it’s still acceptable by local market in Indonesia. • We launched new brand since last of 2017, it is named by Cotton Flair. Cotton Flair is a brand that triggered by TPSA program - which is segmented to universal product, simple, competitive price, and comfortable, so all range people can use our brand. • Surprisingly Cotton Flair grow significantly by 14 stores in 1.5 years only. • We develop material which is combined between cotton and polyester, so the prices of raw material can be reduced compare to the material using 100% cotton.
