  4. Why Prairie Children Preschool?  High quality staff  Offer free preschool to children through grant programs to families who may not be able to afford a high-quality program  Smooth transition into District 204 elementary schools 4

  5. High Quality Staff Professional Educator License with approval/endorsements in:  Early Childhood  Early Childhood Special Education  English as a Second Language 5

Classrooms and Students Classes:  15 Inclusion classrooms  3 Title I classrooms — Housed at Longwood, Gombert and McCarty — 120 students  8 Self-Contained classrooms  1 Bi-Lingual classroom  1 Phonological only classroom – Housed at Graham Students: 651 Total  Ages  Community/Tuition Students  Students with IEPs  At-Risk 6

  7. Opportunities o Currently serve 200 students who cannot afford preschool experience o Title I (3 Classrooms/6 ½ day sessions) at Longwood, Gombert, McCarty o Preschool for All o Provide variety of services to the students and families o Closing the Gap 7
