What are our values? • Started with the question “what do we value?” • The team responded: • Our patients • One another • Training • Acknowledgement • FUN!! 5 What did we do? • Employees on the “re-branding”/re-naming team • Staff Development Day- full day training • Employee appreciation events • Employee incentives (started small) • Employee of the month 6

Staff Development Day • Learning • Focused on the team • Focused on the patients • Focused on opportunity • Group scenarios • Fun! • Food!! 7 Other ideas- Staff Development • Ask for team member feedback on topics • What are they seeing as a rising trend • Train ALL team members on that topic • VALUE • Multi-purpose • CPR training • Fun/neutral space 8

  5. Lessons learned • A little can go a long way • Law of Diminishing Return • How high can the bar be set? • Overly enthusiastic team members • Rely more on our team • Leadership is a journey, not a destination 9
