Pivot policy change, stigma reduction and advocacy project
PROJECT OBJECTIVES 1. To gather province-wide data on how local laws, enforcement tactics, judicial behaviour conditions and conditions of confinement criminalize and increase the risk to life, health and safety of people who are homeless, use drugs and/or engage in sex work. Particularly how these laws, tactics and conditions may increase the risk of contracting HIV/Hepatitis C. 2. To explore legal and campaign avenues for law reform, increase awareness of the issues and harms, and provide in-community legal rights education.
