PROGRAMME RESEARCH IN ENTERPRISES Call for Proposals Announcement Dated: 16/09/16 Submission Dated: 20/01/17 Budget: 4.000.000 Euro Description:  Creation of new products/services/production methods of high added value, or significantly optimised products/services/production methods which are industrially used.  Intensifying the participation of Cypriot Enterprises in research activities. Beneficiaries:  Host Organisation: Small or Medium Sized Enterprise (B.1, B.2).  Partner Organisations: Research Organisations, Enterprises or Other Organisations.  Participation of Foreign Research Organisations is not permitted. Expected Outcomes:  Creation of new products/services/production methods of high added value, or significantly optimised products/services/production methods which are industrially used.

Maximum Funding per Project:  200.000 Euro per Project (Total: 20 Projects). As the Programme is part of the Pillar I “Smart Growth”, the Projects must be applicable to the selected Priority Sectors: Energy Tourism Transports-Marine Agriculture-Food Industry Built Environment-Construction Industry Health ICT Sustainable Growth-Environment

PROGRAMME RESEARCH IN ENTERPRISES Call for Proposals Announcement Dated: 16/09/16 Submission Dated: 20/01/17 Budget: 4.000.000 Euro Project Activities:  The Projects must necessarily include Experimental Development activities.  They may also include Industrial Research activities.  With the Completion of the Project Implementation, the Host Organisation must prepare a “Utilisation Plan” which will be submitted to the RPF as Deliverable along with the Final Report. Duration of Project Implementation:  12-24 months

Expected Outcomes:  Creation of new products/services/production methods of high added value, or significantly optimised products/ services/production methods which are industrially used. Beneficiaries:  Host Organisation: Start-Ups.  Partner Organisations: Research Organisations, Enterprises or Other Organisations.  Participation of Foreign Research Organisations is not permitted.

PROGRAMME HORIZON 2020 - 2 ND OPPORTUNITY Call for Proposals Announcement Date: 16/09/16 Submission Date: 01/07/19 Budget: 5.500.000 Euro Description:  Provide a second chance to organisations and natural persons (researchers) who submitted a Proposal to receive a grant in the frame of the HORIZON 2020 Programme.  High quality but did not manage to secure funding from EU or ERC due to budget depletion.  Programme works as a supplement for the participation of Cypriot organisations and natural persons in specific actions of the HORIZON 2020 Programme of the EU. Expected Outcomes:  Integrate and make the best use of young, high-level scientists in the Cypriot RTDI System.  Promote the materialisation of globally competitive innovation projects by SMEs.

PROGRAMME HORIZON 2020 - 2 ND OPPORTUNITY Call for Proposals Announcement Date: 16/09/16 Submission Date: 01/07/19 Budget: 5.500.000 Euro Module “SME Instrument - Phase I & II” :  Host Organisation: SME (B.1, B.2), whose Proposal was submitted in the “SME Instrument” (Phase I, Phase II), was eligible for funding, but did not get funded because of depletion of the budget.  A new Proposal must be submitted to RPF.  The consortium organisations included in the Proposal submitted at the EU may participate in the Project as Partner Organisations.  The participation of Foreign Research Organisations is permitted.  In case that Foreign Research Organisations are included in the proposal, they can participated as subcontractors (the rules of the tender progress do not apply).

PROGRAMME HORIZON 2020 - 2 ND OPPORTUNITY Call for Proposals Announcement Date: 16/09/16 Submission Date: 01/07/19 Budget: 5.500.000 Euro Project Activities:  Phase Ι A feasibility study in which the activities that were included in the Proposal submitted at the EU and which have been adapted to the rules and procedures of the Framework Programme RESTART 2016-2020.  Phase ΙΙ - It includes the activities (Industrial Research and Experimental Development Activities) that had been described in the Proposal submitted in the EU and the ERC, and which have been adapted to the rules and procedures of the Framework Programme RESTART 2016-2020. Innovation Activities are not permitted. - Activities of TRL-9 that had been included in the Proposal submitted under the “SME Instrument Phase II” are not eligible for funding.

Phase ΙΙ  Personnel Costs, Costs for Foreign Research Organisations, Instruments and Equipment Costs, Costs for External Services, Foreign Travel Costs, Consumables, Other Specific Costs, Overheads.  For the “SME Instrument - 2 nd Opportunity” module, no restrictions apply in relation to the maximum limits of the budget for the “Costs for External Services” category.
