APAN Network and Application • APAN Network – Consist of multi-domain networks with interconnection • APAN Member: 18 economics, 27 networks – Each NOC operates the network with each policy – The big gap exists on the bandwidth of the link • 10Gbps （ optical) ～ several Mbps （ satellite ） • APAN Application – Communication over multi-domain networks • Telemedicine, e-learning, eVLBI, HDTV, LiveE, Earth Monitoring – Require better performance perfSONAR Workshop, 29th APAN Meeting, Sydney 18
