PEIL 2014-2020 Information and Communications Nicola Finnegan ESF Managing Authority PMC Meeting – 18 th May 2017
Message from Europe Council of the European Union In February the Presidency submitted draft conclusions 1 on ‘Making Cohesion Policy more effective, relevant and visible to our Citizens’. The paper recognises that more effort is required by both Member States and the Commission to increase visibility of ESI Funds and to show the tangible results of Cohesion Policy on the every day lives of EU Citizens. White Paper on Future of Europe 2 Communities are not always aware that many of the services in their area are co-funded by the EU. EU’s positive role is not visible if the story is not told locally. The EU are encouraging more engagement through Social Media. http://data.consilium.europa.eu/doc/document/ST-7896-2017-INIT/en/pdf 1. https://ec.europa.eu/commission/sites/beta-political/files/white_paper_on_the_future_of_europe_en.pdf 2.
