Application 1. We have to trust God in the trials of life. There will be things that aren’t smooth. Things that are ups and downs. You would think that if God tells Paul that he will go to Rome, that everything will be smooth. But it isn’t. So we too must trust Him, His principles, His prophecies. Study the Bible. Then teach others. 2. Trials are for our benefit. But God tells us that they are beneficial, because they cause us to trust Him. And for unbelievers, sometimes trials come into their lives, which brings them to Christ. 3. Be ready to serve God in all situations. Paul served around the world, while he was in prison, while he was on the ship, and while he was shipwrecked on the island. We are to give glory to God in everything. What ever you do in words and deeds, do it all for Him. Colossians 3:17.
