How competency is determined from a legal and medical perspective when handling heath care decision making. Limits of Health Care Proxies and Power of Attorney designations. How to protect the rights of older persons who may have delegated some or all of their decision making through a Health Care Proxy, Power of Attorney or Living Will. Guarding the rights of an individual consumer to participate in their health care decision making. Considerations for health and aging services providers when families and patients seem to disagree on what health care options to pursue.
