F o c u s 2 Future e-trans (formation) Project Objective Jointly analyze the present situation and weaknesses in connection with a ll “e - activities” (e-AWB, e-freight, e-processes) and define measures to support the practical implementation by all stakeholders. Space • New Cargo Terminal in ZRH for dnata urgently needed after many years of delay • Traffic and Handling areas in front of Cargo Terminals in GVA and ZRH limited and crowed with professional and leisure traffic • Landside handling area in GVA needs improvement Future • Expansion of runway-bypasses reduces cargo area in ZRH Time Challenges • Bottle necks on roads lead to delivery delays • Delayed aircraft rotations create unpredictability Digitalisation • Delay in implementation of e-AWBs and new electronic processes mainly because of complex processes and many stakeholders with different interest and expectations
