  13. Training Rules ATTITUDE AND DISCIPLINE Successful families, organizations, and football teams are highly disciplined groups. In our discipline, attitudes are more important than rules. West Jeff Football is not watered down. You get exactly what you put into it. We expect you to conduct yourself in a manner that will enhance the image of our football program. You must set high standards for yourself and your teammates because you are part of a special group. You must be proud to be part of the football program. With this pride comes certain responsibilities. 1. Do not engage in any act or activities which may be detrimental to the reputation of our football team or yourself. 2. No smoking, drinking, tobacco, or drugs! This is a detriment which will be dealt with according to the West Jeff Athletic Code of Conduct. 3. NO DISRESPECT! If you feel you were treated unjustly, meet with your position coach and me after practice. 4. Absence and tardiness will not be tolerated. You must be present to learn how to play the Rider way. EXCUSED ABSENCE – 1 absence - Will result in 10 extra 40 yard sprints and the possibility of not starting that particular week. 2 absences – Will result in 20 extra 40 yard sprints and the player will not start that particular week. 3 absences – Will result in 30 extra 40 yard sprints and the player will not dress that particular week. *This will be handled on a weekly basis* UNEXCUSED ABSENCE – 1 absence – Will result in 20 extra 40 yard sprints and the player will not start that particular week. 2 absences – Will result in 30 extra 40 yard sprints and the and the player will not dress that particular week. 3 absences – Dismissal from team *This will be handled on a yearly basis* *This will also apply to 6:30 a.m. scouting reports on Monday Morning

  14. Training Rules GAMES AND BUS TRIPS This football team, or you as an individual, may be the only contact some people have with this high school. It is your responsibility to make a positive impression on the people you come in contact with. You must show proper manners at all times. 1. We go first class, we act first class, use your best manners. 2. Improper behavior while traveling on the bus will not be tolerated. EQUIPMENT We have tried to purchase the best equipment possible. Take care of it, and it will take care of you. 1. You are responsible for all of your equipment and its maintenance. If something needs repaired, bring it to the attention of your position coach. 2. Always place equipment in locker. 3. Keep equipment clean. 4. Take all equipment home on Wednesday nights. 5. Practice uniforms must be washed every 2 days. 6. Pack your own equipment for games. It is not your parents responsibility! GENERAL 1. Be prompt to all meetings and practices. 2. Help keep locker room neat and clean. (Clean up Crew) 3. No horseplay or rowdiness in the locker room 4. All that takes place in the locker room or on the practice field is confidential.
