WASC Growth Targets ● By 2018, we will lower school-related stress levels which students report feeling as measured on the Challenge Success (CS) survey By 2018, student, teacher, parent perception data will improve as ● measured by the CS survey, Source of Strength survey, and CHKS survey ● By 2018, we will be better aligned in homework, assessment, grading, as reported on the Hanover Survey and Challenge Success survey.
WASC Growth Targets ● By 2018, we will increase by 25% the number of African American and Latino students taking AP and Honors courses By 2018, we will reduce our truancy rate by 50% ● By 2018, we will reduce our number of students who do not graduate by 50% ● ● By 2018, we will reduce the number of students not enrolling in college by 33% ● By 2018, we will reduce the overall ratio of students who are not “a-g” eligible in all categories by 33%
Palo Alto High School We want most of all to create a culture of care at our school that will improve teaching and learning for ALL students. In the words of English teacher Lucy Filppu, “Our hope for the future is that all learners will thrive and kindness will prevail.”
