2/27/2013 Status of PPP Stewardship Plan Status of PPP Stewardship Plan • Submitted to MOE on November 19, 2012 • Accepted comments from stakeholders to December 14 • MMBC has been working to clarify – Aspects of the plan that were the focus of comments submitted by stakeholders – How the plan addresses requirements of the Recycling Regulation in response to questions from MOE • Updated PPP Stewardship Plan to be submitted to MOE and posted on the MMBC website shortly | Page | Page 3 Next Steps for MMBC Next Steps for MMBC • While waiting on MOE decision re PPP Stewardship Plan, MMBC is continuing to dialogue with stakeholders in preparation for plan implementation – Issued Request for Expressions of Interest for Post- Collection Services on January 18 – submissions due by March 1 – Posted a draft updated list of PPP to be collected on January 18 – comments due by March 1 • MMBC is also undertaking research into curbside, multi-family building and depot collection costs | Page | Page 4 2
