LEEM: Location Emissions Estimation Methodology What it does: LEEM provides location specific emission rates corresponding to the next incremental load (marginal demand) on the electric grid at 5 min and 24 hour time increments. Why it matters: • Businesses are increasingly interested in meeting consumer interest for green energy • LEEM emissions data can be used time-shift energy use to lower emissions • LEEM makes energy use more transparent and enables Environmental Demand Response to be a reality • LEEM provides companies with green marketing
