Avangrid Renewables Northwest Balancing Authority Independent, Generation-Only Balancing Authority (BA) • On July 31, 2018 the Avangrid BA became operational encompassing Avangrid’s Northwest renewable assets that currently reside in the Bonneville BA • Generation-only BA comprised of 1,300+ MWs of wind generation balanced primarily by 550 MW of Combined Cycle Gas, 100 MW of Simple Cycle Gas CTs and 190 MW of Mid-C Hydroelectric Power BA Operations will enable the following Key Benefits • Improved Operational Flexibility and access to a greater number of market structures that can only be utilized as a BA • Advance the benefits we received through our Self Supply program which has protected portfolio value, reduced wind curtailments, continued Long Term integration cost certainty.
