Open Enrollment is REQUIRED
Optional plan enrollments WILL carry forward to 2019-20 • Everyone eligible for OEBB benefits must log in during Open Enrollment and make medical, dental and vision plan selections for 2019-20. • You do NOT need to re-enroll in optional plans like life and disability insurance. Current optional plan enrollments will continue unless you take this opportunity change them. • Open Enrollment is your one opportunity each year to change your enrollments without a Qualifying Status Change (QSC) event.

FINAL RESULT OF 2019 LEGISLATIVE SESSION Double Coverage and Opt-Out Incentives Remain As-Is for 2019-20 Only affects you if a spouse, partner, or dependent also has OEBB or PEBB • benefits eligibility through their own employment (two Oregon state plans) Previous legislation (Senate Bill 1067, SB 1067) would have taken away the • ability for these dual-eligible members to: have double medical coverage, or o receive an incentive for opting out of one and being covered on the other. o 2019 legislation (House Bill 2266, HB 2266) reversed those parts of SB 1067, • so it’s “business as usual” regarding double-coverage and opt-out incentives for 2019-20. HB 2266 will require the OEBB/PEBB Boards to implement a surcharge on • double-coverage in 2020-21 . We will keep you informed as that develops.
