  4. Insurance and CP Obligations • Child Protection Obligations. This info is available on the NSJCA website under Risk and Compliance in the main menu. • Player and Official Insurance Scheme – obligations. Ground Check Form – this will be available on line and an in paper form and should be completed prior to each match for insurance purposes.

  5. Code of Conduct • Our Code of Conduct forms part of our Blue Book and is enforceable. • Applies to – Players – Coaches/manager etc – Umpires – Parents – You! • On the web site and in the Blue Book

Batting restrictions (cont) • Retired batters may return only if all other players present have batted, and only in ascending order of runs scored, irrespective of how many overs faced. • Overs for optional retirement refers to whole overs - part overs at the commencement of a batter's innings are ignored. • No distinction between retired out and retired not out – a batter may not be retired before the minimum number of overs.

Max 3 Under 11 & 12 All players must bowl 2 overs, before any player bowls a 3rd over. Max 4 All players bar one must bowl 2 in 1 st 30 Under 13 & 14 overs of 1 day match & 40 overs of 2 day match. Max 5 overs - 1 day; 8 overs 2 day; Max 4 overs in a spell Under 14/15 No change (except all players bar one must bowl) and clarification of fast/slow Under 16/17 No change, except to clarify fast/slow

Bowling restrictions con’t • Clause 21 – U14/15 and U16/17 only slow bowlers able to bowl more overs (previously all bowlers except fast) • Clause 23 - In under 10s to Under 12s teams must use min 2 wicketkeepers in an innings • Clause 24 – With U13 and U14 age groups split this season, coaches cannot assist during play in U14s and up. A coach can assist to ensure bowling restrictions not breached (in any age group). • Clause 30 – bowling aggregate awards will be replaced by bowling strike rate award – min wickets still apply • Clause B17 (new) – no LBW in Under 10s

  13. Suggestions • Stiff bristled broom (or two) – pitches get sandy/muddy. Especially early in season. Maybe even flat ended spade if weather has been wet. • Get to ground early – to allow time to sweep and set up. • Walk ground looking for broken glass, sticks, dog droppings etc. Have other parents help. • Report problems with grounds – Ground Check form

MyCricket • MyCricket is run by Cricket Australia • It is the centre of the NSCJA universe – Runs our website – Manages our draws/fixtures – Maintains our results, ladders, etc. – Repository of ALL Player Statistics • Garbage in - Garbage out • YOU MUST BE RESPONSIBLE!! • Issues?   15. NSJCA Future • New volunteers always required at both club and NSJCA level. • Ground improvements – ongoing collaboration with councils to improve grounds. Funding requests are made to Communities NSW and the NSJCA also works closely with the NSCA in ground improvements.
