NOAA Leadership Support for LCDP Message from the Acting Under Secretary of Commerce for Oceans and Atmosphere and NOAA Administrator Dear Graduates, Congratulations on successfully completing NOAA’s tenth Leadership Competencies Development Program! You are part of a cadre of 250 superb NOAA leaders to have voluntarily completed this high-value endeavor, and I am extremely grateful for your commitment to serve at a higher and more impactful level. I know from my experience that the most effective servant leaders are developed deliberately, with dedicated training programs and a serious amount of mentoring. I am thrilled to see all those who have helped you along the way honored in this program. I hope you will continue paying it forward by bringing up those under your supervision. It is now your turn to become the future leaders of NOAA. And the good news is, you’re ready. Your efforts to date have been inspiring to me and your colleagues and I look forward to seeing how you will continue to raise the bar. As a fellow NOAA leader, I share with you the extraordinary privilege of serving as a team captain and cheerleader for the finest workforce in the Federal Government. Thank you for answering this most honorable of callings, and for all that you will do to advance NOAA’s tremendous contributions to our great Nation. With gratitude and respect, RDML Tim Gallaudet, Ph.D., USN Ret. 14
