• Halton Region is anticipated to grow from a 2001 population of 390,000 to a population of 780,000 over the period to 2031 • More than 100 different languages are spoken in the homes of students in Halton DSB • The top 5 first languages (other than English) currently spoken by HDSB students: Urdu, Mandarin, Arabic, Punjabi & Hindi • 105 schools – 65 000 Students – 8 000 Staff
