Future Expansion
Key Principles • Filming is permitted on MyCiTi buses and in stations, shelters and stops as long as the brand or operation is not negatively affected • Considering applications to Film will never happen in a silo, but will always be in consultation with other partners in Transport for Cape Town • All applications for filming on MyCiTi property or assets must follow standard procedure through the CCT’s Film & Events Permit Office • A hire rate for filming in buses / stations is applicable i.t.o CCT tariff policy • Additional costs of services and communication to commuters is for the applicant’s cost • Filming should be limited to non-peak travel times to minimise disruption • Any MyCiTi asset (including vehicles) should be returned to the CCT in at least the same condition as received
Key Principles Continue • Guest passes must be visible at all times and returned afterwards • No filming of passengers without their permission • Adherence to MyCiTi rules at all times (www.myciti.org.za) • CCT can cancel permission at any time. • Road closures should not impact on the MyCiTi service if possible.
Procedure for Filming • Application must be made to the CCT’s Film & Events Permit Office • This will be passed on to the MyCiTi office (amongst other departments) for consideration for access to buses / stations / shelters / stops • Application must also be made for a Guest Pass for each person using the system (Not applicable to chartered buses) • A quote will be prepared for the use of facilities if required, with any stipulations as necessary • Quotations should be considered asap as MyCiTi needs to process a request for a reference number regarding the event specific payment • Once paid, permission will be granted. All communication will be through the CCT Film Office.
