EMS Connect who will use it • All SCFD4 response personnel • First responder • EMT • Paramedic • Regional Agencies • AMR • Deer Park Ambulance • SCFD9 • Cheney FD EMS Connect-What is it? • On-line OTEP training program designed by local Physicians to allow First Responders, EMTs and Paramedics easy access to standard recertification training/evaluation. EMS Connect – Where • On shift • At home • Anywhere your schedule allows

EMS Connect – why use it? • Allows both NREMT and Washington state EMS recertification for basic, advanced, paramedic EMT’s within the same program while instructing / evaluating at the appropriate level. • Puts us on the same training schedule as many other Spokane County agencies • Dual agency personnel will not be required to complete two different training programs • Provides flexibility in individuals schedules • Allows Battalions to customize more trainings/meetings/social events to their needs. • Allows quarterly skills to be more innovative/realistic scenario based training MORE HANDS ON TRAINING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  8. How to lookup your Washington EMT Certification #  Washington State Department of Health Provider Credential Search Just search for the above link   Select “Health Care Provider”

  9. How to lookup your Washington EMT Certification #  Credential Type not required  Input Last name and First name.  Input security text.  If multiple credentials or people with similar name, select proper line to obtain Certification #

  10. How to lookup your National Registry EMT Certification #  Log into your account  Should be able to get your expiration date and certification number here.

  11. EMS Connect Profile Update  Login Screen  Use the link in your email that you receive from EMSConnect.  Login is your District 4 email address.  No password needed.  On this screen you will be asked to create your password.

  12. EMS Connect Profile Build  Fill in required fields  Minimum required fields with red arrows  If you have a NREMT certification, this needs to be filled out also. To obtain your NREMT #, log  into the National Registry with your account.

  13. Entering EMSConnect Training into Fire House.  For those using the District 4 EMSConnect login.  Complete your Monthly online Training and SUCESSFULLY PASS the online test. You will be able to retake the test several times until you obtain a passing score to  receive credit for the course.  Login into Fire House and input the training. Pre loaded on the 1 st of each month   For those using another Agency Login ( etc. AMR, Deer Park Ambulance)  Complete your Monthly online Training and SUCESSFULLY PASS the online test. You will be able to retake the test several times until you obtain a passing score to  receive credit for the course.  Send the printout of your Completion Certificate to Amber Baker at the District Office or, you can email a PDF copy of the Completion Certificate to Amber Baker at amberb@scfd4.org. Amber will then input the completed training into the appropriate Fire House  record, and place a copy in your file.

  15.  Entering Training into Fire House. Find the pre-loaded training record on the 1 st day of the Month.  Be sure filter is set to DO 

  16.  Enter your name by using the “Add” feature.  Do not change any hours or date on this record.  SAVE then CLOSE  All Members who complete the Training though another Agency Log in ( etc. AMR, District 9, Deer Park Ambulance.), Amber Baker will enter your Training after receiving a copy of your Certificate
