What is MNGEA? MNGEA is a Non-Profit Professional Organization that represents the interests of the Enlisted personnel of the Massachusetts Army MNGEA 2018 and Air National Guard. MNGEA is the only Professional Organization that specifically works on behalf of the Enlisted Guard Members in the State of Massachusetts. WHAT IS THE PURPOSE OF MNGEA? To promote and support adequate security for the State of Massachusetts and the United States of America. To foster, improve and advance the status, welfare, and professionalism of the National Guard of the State of Massachusetts and the National Guard of the United States, and generally do all lawful acts and things necessary, proper and suitable to accomplish these purposes. To be affiliated with the Enlisted Association of the United States (EANGUS), and to be subject to the Constitution and By-Laws of that body, insofar as they effect and prescribe the function of the Massachusetts National Guard Enlisted Association (MNGEA), but do not conflict with the articles of incorporation, and the laws of the State of Massachusetts.

Executive Board Meetings Board meetings are held 12 MNGEA 2018 times per year. Board meetings are held at various locations. All MNGEA members are welcome to attend the meetings. Every last Tuesday of the month at 1800hrs.
AREAS & CHAPTERS The State is divided into 7“AREAS” MNGEA 2018 2 representing the Air National Guard Wings. 5 representing the ARNG through out the State. Each Area has a Director (Sub Major Command CSM/CCM) and a Co-Director (Elected NCO from CSM/CCM of Sub Major Command). Directors are responsible for coordinating Association activities between the Sub Major Command and the Executive Board. The Directors report all Executive Board meetings & are Voting members of the Executive Board. Areas are made up of 1 or more Chapters . Chapters have annually elected officials that serve their membership

ANNUAL CONFERENCE MNGEA 2018 The General Membership Conference is held annually in conjunction with our professional development programs. The purpose of the Annual Conference is to conduct all annual MNGEA business, to include election of officers, conducting committee meetings and setting goals for the following year. This is an opportunity for enlisted personnel to participate in creating the goals of the Association for State and National and to create or renew friendships. MNGEA Auxiliary • The Auxiliary (MNGEAA) is MNGEA 2018 made up of spouses, family members and others who support the efforts of the Association. • They manage our scholarship program and work to get the word out on legislative issues that effect all Guard Members . • Working with our executive board, our chapters and the Guard Family Network the MNGEAA becomes a valuable asset to our Organization and the MA National Guard
EANGUS ENLISTED ASSOCIATION OF THE NATIONAL GUARD OF THE UNITED STATES MNGEA 2018 When you join MNGEA you are automatically an EANGUS Member. EANGUS is a Full-Time respected presence in Washington D.C. EANGUS is responsible for tracking and lobbying all National Guard legislative activities on the National level EANGUS Executive Director and staff are available to answer your questions. – Call 1-800-234-EANG – Or visit on the Web at www.eangus.org A National Conference is held in August of each year. You may be eligible to attend in a paid status.
EANGUS Accomplishments • Targeted pay raises with at least a 6% increase for Enlisted members MNGEA 2018 • Immediate commissary access for new Guard and Reserve members • Federal government agencies are directed to pay FEHBP premiums for federal Guard and Reserve employees called to active duty for more than 30 days to serve in a contingency operation • Authorizes concurrent receipt, IF the President recommends the necessary legislation and provides the necessary funding • Requires a study of National Guard and Reserve healthcare • Prohibition on forced choice between DoD and VA healthcare for military retirees • Large increase in Control Grades for AGRs • Extension of the VA Home Loan program for Guard and Reserve members to 2009 • Increase over the President's budget request and over last year's numbers for ARNG full time manning - technicians and AGRs • Authorizes National Guard members performing funeral honors duty the same rights, benefits, and protections provided to service members performing inactive duty training • Cap on funding for Youth Challenge program lifted ; program kept in DoD control
