Dropoff (KS2) • Children can be dropped off at either the Kempe Road or the Harvist Road entrance • These gates open at 08:30 and close at 08:50 • Lunchbox trolleys are located by the entrance to Kempe Road • Children enter the building via the stairs to the KS2 Playground • Co-teachers are on the stairs and in cloakrooms from 08:30 until 08:50 to support the children at the start of the day • Entrance via the school office after 08:50

Pickup (KS2) • Children are brought down to the KS2 playground between 15:15 and 15:20 • They can be collected from their lines at this point • Lunchbox trollies are located by the entrance to Kempe Road • Year 5 and 6 students can walk home alone if they have permission from a parent • At 15:30, a bell will be rung and children will be taken to the office for late collection

Homework • Children will receive weekly spellings homework on a Thursday • They are also expected to read daily for 20min a night • You should note in your child’s reading record that you have heard them read that evening • Additional homework will be set by class teachers according to identified needs.

  25. School Library • Children visit the school library each week and can borrow one book at a time from here • Please ensure that this book is taken care of – we have to ask for you to pay for the book should it get damaged

Communication • We believe that links between home and school are key, as it is by working in partnership that our children’s education will be more successful. • Class teachers are available for brief communication at the end of the day at pickup – please organise a meeting for a longer conversation • If you would like to see your child’s class teacher in person, then you can do so by contacting the office or the class teacher directly to arrange a mutually agreeable appointment time. • We would ask that you limit emails to between the hours of 7.00am and 6.00pm, Monday to Friday, term time only.
