Who will be my doctor when I have my baby? We work in a call group Provide 24/7 coverage for our patients Civic Birth Unit always knows who is on call and how to reach us
Family Medicine Residents We are all involved in teaching Family Medicine Residents Residents are Doctors, they have graduated from medical school Family Medicine Residents are completing 2 years of training in specialty of Family Medicine There is always a Family Medicine Resident present in Labour and Delivery. They will be the first person you meet and will follow you through to your birth.
Who will be involved in your care? ● Family Doctor ● Nurse ● Family Medicine Resident Possibly ● Anesthesiologist (eg. epidural) ● Obstetrician ● Neonatologist/ Pediatrician
