The Transportation Technical Advisory Committee reviewed the Rt 13 Study’s Recommendation for Median Closings at Accomack and Northampton County’s request. Prioritization Method determined by the Committee. 1. Medians that have no turn lane and no entrance or driveway 2. Medians that have no turn lane and access a farmfield or timberland 3. Medians that have no turn lane and access a house 4. Medians that have no turn lane and access a business 5. Medians that have no turn lane and access a private road 6. Medians that have no turn lane and access a State road
All medians that had no turn lanes were mapped and recorded. There are 44 medians without turn lanes in the County. Six met priority no. 1 – Medians without a turn lane and serving no entrance or driveway. Their information follows:
