The Transportation Technical Advisory Committee reviewed the Rt 13 Study’s Recommendation for Median Closings at Accomack County’s request. Prioritization Method determined by the Committee. 1. Medians that have no turn lane and no entrance or driveway 2. Medians that have no turn lane and access a farmfield or timberland 3. Medians that have no turn lane and access a house 4. Medians that have no turn lane and access a business 5. Medians that have no turn lane and access a private road 6. Medians that have no turn lane and access a State road
The Transportation Technical Advisory Committee reviewed the aerial photography and listed medians that appeared to meet priority no. 1 – Medians without a turn lane and serving no entrance or driveway. There were 11 Priority No. 1 medians that were field checked. Their information follows.
