Schedules and Results � Will be posted on website � Can be accessed by going to cityofroseville.com/parks � Follow adult sports and basketball � Please double check your results weekly � Once playoff brackets have been made, it’s too late to make changes � Please double check your location each week, as we play at two different sites (and have 5 courts).
Locations � Roseville Area High School � County Road B2 and Delwood St. � Enter through the Gym doors (on West side of building) � Central Park Community Gym (school) � County Rode B2 and Dale (just east of Dale) � Enter through the Northwest Doors � Google map doesn’t like the street address, so search “Central Park School, 55113” to find a map.
League Format � Dec 4 th – 18 th - Preseason: � 2 games prescheduled � 1 game (Dec 18 th ) based on your results in the first two games � (schedule for Dec 18 th will be updated no later than Dec 16 th ) � Jan 8 th – Regular season – 7 games � Playoffs begin after the regular season, each team guaranteed at least 2 games (not double elim- consolation)
League Breakdown � Preseason – teams play other teams to determine where they fall in the regular season � Some teams same skill level, some different � 3 rd game determined by results in the first 2 games � Following preseason teams will be placed into divisions � Tentative division breakdown � 8 C teams � 16 Upper D (divided into two groups for playoffs) � 16 Lower D (divided into two groups for playoffs) � Subject to change based on skill levels
Jerseys � Same color � Numbers that are at least 6 inches high � No tape for numbers � Permanent marker OK � Any player who does not have the same color jersey or a number will be assessed a technical foul � This will be enforced for the first game
Quick Rules � Team manager must sign team in prior to the game � No player may play without signing in � Game ball � Roster due by first game � Penalty, forfeit � Game time � Running for first half � Stop time final 2 minutes of the 2 nd half
Dunking Rule � Dunking is OK during games but no other time � Dunking during the following times will result in a technical foul � Warm ups � Dead ball time � Halftime � Following a game � Any time when the ball is not in play
Player Conduct � Team manager shall be designated before game begins � Only TM should interact with officials � Interaction must be respectful � TM may request clarification, and may respectfully discuss non-judgment calls � Once discussion has concluded, that’s the end of the conversation � Non-TMs may not question officiating
Flagrant and Technical Fouls � A flagrant foul will result in immediate ejection and suspension � Any excessively violent foul or attempt to injure � The following acts may result in a technical foul � Profanity � Questioning judgment calls � Persistent complaints about officiating
Flagrant and Technical Fouls � The following actions will result in an immediate technical, double technical of flagrant foul � Use of profanity toward an official or another player � Any statement that is personal in nature about an official or an opponent � Any attempt to bait, taunt or instigate an altercation � Any attempt to physically intimidate an official or an opponent � Example: getting in someone’s face
Flagrant or Technical Fouls � The team manager shall report any ejected player’s full name to the scorers desk without incident � Game will not be restarted until this has occurred � If manager fails to do this, he will receive a technical
Three Technical Rule � Any player receiving 3 technical fouls over the course of a season will be suspended from the league and any sanctioned MN State game. � Excludes jersey violation � Mandated to sanction our league
Fighting � Any player involved in fighting may be ejected from the league. � Including � Throwing a punch � Slapping or face pushing an opponent � Grabbing or pushing a player during an altercation � Leaving the bench during an altercation (except when requested by an official)
Officials � Officials have jurisdiction over anything that happens in the gym or outside the gym related to the game � Independent contractors � 2 officials per game � Officials are expected to behave in a professional and respectful manner � If this doesn’t happen, please let me know
Scoreboard � Please have someone on your bench keep an eye on the scoreboard � Including � Points � Possession arrow � Fouls � Notify the officials if there are any erros
