Threat The EU sees a key threat in not properly handled CBRN material as outlined, among others, in: • the European Security Strategy of 2003, • the EU Strategy against Proliferation of Weapons of Mass Destruction of 2003, • the EU CBRN Action Plan of 2009 and T EMPLATE - V ERSION 3.0 - 24 A UGUST 2012 • the European Agenda on Security of 2015.

From Round-Table Meetings to Projects National Focal Points meet at regular regional Roundtables (RT) which also facilitate the design of CBRN CoE projects based on identified CBRN risk mitigation needs (e. g. for South-East Asia 7 th RT in Brunei 2-3/IV/2014, 8 th RT in Italy, 12/VI/2014, 9 th RT in Vietnam, 4-6/II/2015, 10 th RT in Belgium, 19-21/V/2015, 11 th RT in Belgium, 30/V-2/VI/2016). Technical assistance available through: - Joint Research Centre (JRC) of the European Commission - Regional experts (space for experts available at the Regional Secretariat) T EMPLATE - V ERSION 3.0 - 24 A UGUST 2012 Project proposals are submitted by the Regional Secretariat to the European Commission where they undergo an evaluation process.
