CCRS VAK Materials Space Activity Leaders Writing an Activity Plan
L: Language RI: Reading for Information RF: Reading Fundamentals RL: Reading Literature SL: Speaking/Listening W: Writing Can be discrete, spiraled or serialized When possible, use interdisciplinary topics
May include multiple or all modalities Include a kinesthetic component in all activities for younger students (1-2 grade) Be attuned to diverse learning styles An array of modalities will address students’ interests as well as challenge them appropriately
Divide into 4 groups Identify: CCRS and VAK Brainstorm: If you were leading this activity for the assigned grade level, what answers might you expect to get from that age group? Discuss 1 st Grade difference
Materials include: consumables, books, multimedia/technology, craft supplies, sports equipment, room set-up Will the activity require a lot of materials, or just a space to do it in? Don’t limit yourself to what an object is “supposed” to be This is not a basketball
