What you can’t do….. •You cannot pay salaries •You cannot pay for software •You cannot pay for professional development •You are expected to provide these, but you can’t pay for them from the Bond. 4 Step 1 ●Work with the district’s architect to establish priorities in the approved categories. ●Consideration to ○Livonia Central Strategic Plan ○Livonia Central Technology Plan ○Building Condition Survey 5 Step 2 •Students Establish a Smart Bond •Staff Planning Committee. •Administrators Membership must include: •Board of Education •Parents •Community 6

Livonia Central’s Goal Livonia Central Schools wishes to offer a seamless, environment for a one-to-one initiative in a safe, community school. 7 Livonia Priorities ● School Connectivity including wired and wireless environments ● Security improvements- installation of access control, and Security Cameras 8 Actual Phase 1 Budget ● School Connectivity $283,700 ● High Tech Security $800,000 9

Plan B Budget ● School Connectivity $232,313 10 School Connectivity Livonia Central is planning to use Smart Bond funds in conjunction with an Erate project (Universal Service Funds) to completely upgrade the district’s hard wired and wireless network capacities. 11 High Tech Security •Main Entrance Entry Controls – Video and Audio Monitoring •165 IP Security Cameras – Video Servers for archiving •Security Monitoring Equipment Total $800,000 12

  5. Next Steps 1. Because this is a Supplement to the original Plan, with the School Board’s permission, we will immediateley submit this for funding. 13
