Drills ~ Lockdown Procedures (active violence) U.S. Department of Education mandates “Run, Hide, Fight” ● protocol Based on ALICE (Alert, Lockdown, Inform, Counter, Escape) ● Shelter: Clear the halls and lock the door Evaluate: Is shelter our best option, or is escape our best option? Escape: You can’t be hurt if you’re not there. Why wait for threat to come your way? Shelter: If decide to shelter, fortify it
Communication ~ Terminology Our terminology for safety protocols and communication.
