Fish Migration… from Sea to Source What is Interreg? • Interreg is a Community initiative which aims to stimulate interregional cooperation in the European Union. • Started in 1989 and is financed under the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF) European Union. • Interreg IV is currently operational, covering 2007-2013. • Organised into three strands: • Strand A. Cross-border co-operation e.g. Celtic Sea Trout Project • Strand B. Transnational co-operation e.g. Living North Sea • Strand C. Interregional co-operation e.g. Union des Terres de Rivieres.
