LEP Operational Plan 2018/19 SIB Key Priorities – some thoughts… • Some project areas to consider: • MMC Factory in Herts • MMC pilot project – with linkages to HCA initiatives • Regeneration schemes (with clear linkages to transport strategies) • Smaller market towns (e.g. Hitchin and Royston) – analysis of needs and preparation of strategy • Bishop’s Stortford major regeneration scheme • St Albans major regeneration scheme • Ongoing in Stevenage, Watford, Hatfield • Employment areas • Strategic initiatives and linkages • New garden town in Hertfordshire and/or adjoining areas • Oxford-Cambridge Growth Corridor
LEP Operational Plan 2018/19 SIB Key Priorities – some more thoughts… • Infrastructure – Strategic • Explore modal shift and sustainable, future-proofed transport solutions (incl. sustainable travel towns) • Develop strategy for station improvements • Explore opportunities from HS2, Crossrail 2, WAML and airport expansion • Consider developing digital, energy and utilities strategy • Infrastructure – Project specific • Hemel East/North and M1 J8 • A414 Strategy/Hertford By-pass • Gilston/Harlow/M11 link • A505 transport corridor (including Hitchin By-pass) • Existing schemes: MLX, A120, A507, Essex Rd, A10
