  11. 7. Target Setting Monitor & review your child’s performance  after each assessment. Parents – please help your child to review the  targets for each subject with reference to target set for individuals by the school. Please refer to Page 21 of the Student  Handbook for the Target-Setting Form.

  12. 8. Important Notes to Parents

  13. 8.1.1. Absence from Assessments All absence from exam must be supported by a valid  reason such as Medical Leave. Letter of excuse from parents is not acceptable. Absent without a valid reason – results will be  reflected as AB (absent) on the result slip. AB indicates that the child will be getting zero for that paper. Upon returning from the medical leave, pupils will  only be allowed to sit for the make-up assessments on 2 designated dates for written assessment and 1 designated date for LC, Oral & Composition. Please take note that the make-up exam is only  allowed for pupils who are on MC. Pupil Handbook 2017 – Page 18. 

Absence from Assessments: Make-up Exams Guidelines for make-up Exam with effect from Remarks 2015 Oral, LC & Composition If the pupil is on MC & returns after - 1 designated day; the designated dates of make-up exam, there will be no further make- Written Papers up exam arranged for him/her. - 2 designated days, first day for English & His/her marks will be pro-rated or Mathematics & second day reflected as VR depends on case by for Mother Tongue & case basis. Science **The dates for make-up exam will be stated in the Exam notification to parents

Absence from School in General During festive celebrations (e.g. CNY), parents  take the child back to hometown for celebration, leave earlier than official holidays or come back later, the school will not grant such leave, the child’s attendance will be marked as ‘zero’. Very often the child is taken to holidays before  the school term is over. The attendance of the child will be marked as ‘zero’ too. Attendance will affect the child’s conduct grade. 

Homework Policy Weekly Homework Guidelines (2-days grace period) For school days: P1/P2: Not more than 1.5 hours per day  (inclusive of all subjects) P3/P4: Not more than 2.0 hours per day  (inclusive of all subjects) P5/P6: Not more than 2.5 hours per day  (inclusive of all subjects)

  19. 8.5. Finance P6 Enrichment Programmes I. Aesthetic Dance Programme for Graduation Ceremony - At least 50% of the cost borne by school II. Percussion Music Programme - At least 50% of the cost borne by school III. Drawing & Painting Using Watercolour - 100% cost borne by school

  20. 8.6.1. School Safety The school gantry will be closed at 0740 for the  morning session to facilitate morning assembly and flag-raising ceremony. Vehicles are not allowed to be driven into the  school compound during the dismissal times. Please refrain from parking your vehicles  outside the school.

  21. 8.6.2. School Safety To ensure the safety of your child, all visitors to  the school are required to exchange their identification cards for visitor passes before reporting to the General Office. Exception to the rule only applies during school  initiated events /workshops.

  22. 8.7. Snack Time Let pupils have the some light snacks to freshen  & energise themselves 5-minute break  Snacks such as biscuits, sandwiches, etc. 

  23. 8.8. Communication SNAAPP (School Notification & Attendance APP)  Application for Download  - iPhone, iPAD: AppStore - Android: Google Play Google Chrome browser on PC  Communication between school to parent for  letter/notification/consent etc. Surveys 

  24. 8.9. Absence from School When your child is unable to attend school: 1. Parents who are on SNAAPP will notify the FT using SNAAPP by 8.00 a.m. 2. Parents who are not on SNAAPP will call the school at 6793 3419 or SMS to 8511 7516 in the following format: [Name; Class; Reason] by 0800 to inform the school of his/her absence.
