ACS Office of International Activities Brad Miller, Ph.D. , Director b_miller@acs.org Brad has worked for ACS since 1999 developing programs, products, and services to advance chemical sciences through collaborations in Africa, Asia, Europe, Latin America and the Middle East. He is the staff liaison to the ACS Committee on International Activities, and serves on the US National Commission for UNESCO. He is fluent in Spanish, Portuguese, and French. Francisco Gomez , Assistant Director f_gomez@acs.org Francisco specializes in global economics and business strategy, fosters existing partnerships with international organizations. Francisco is also the lead for ACS formation of international strategic alliances. Francisco joined the ACS Office of International Activities team in 2008. Francisco has a strong understanding of the complexities of the. Ricardo Mcklmon , Marketing Manager, Innovation and International Recruitment r_mcklmon@acs.org Ricardo supports representation of the ACS International Chapters at the ACS National Meeting. Ricardo has a background in international engagement and recruitment initiatives, and has extensive international marketing and product management experience and has worked in Canada, the Caribbean, South and Central America. ACS Office of International Activities Kelen Fureigh , Senior Associate k_fureigh@acs.org As a Senior Associate at the Office of International Activities Kelen manages multiple programs and also leads efforts for community outreach events and symposiums internationally supporting ACS strategic alliance implementation and international meetings presence. She coordinates activities for the International Lounge at the ACS National Meetings. Julia Throop , Senior Associate j_throop@acs.org Julia works to promote the ACS International Center at the ACS National Meeting, and in close collaboration with the Society’s Education department, will be organizing the ACS International Opportunities for Career and Study event this year. Julia has a background in international education, and is pursuing a career in Asian Studies from George Washington University. Steven Hill , Senior Associate s_hill@acs.org Steven manages the Technical Symposia at the ACS National Meeting, and supports the Committee on International Activities. Steven earned his Bachelor’s degree in Biochemistry, and has a background in web design, e-learning development, and international standardization. Lori Brown , Science and Human Rights Associate l_brown2@acs.org Lori manages the IAC Welcome Reception at the ACS National Meeting and supports the Committee on International Activities at the ACS National Meeting. Additionally, she handles science and human rights issues for the ACS. Lori has a background in politics, and previously monitored elections in Central America. American Chemical Society 6
