  5. Fitas Scheme • Entry course based on FCS-1362:2016 Code of Practice. • Continuous Professional Development programme for Installers. • Live Audits every 3 years minimum. • Modules for Learning and Development for Auto Electrical Principles

Foundation Course Learning Objectives • The electrical principles that are related to Vehicle Electrical Circuits. • Vehicle Electrical Components. • Automotive Electrical Circuits. • Communication Networks. • Antenna Theory. • Installation Practice. • Designed around the FCS1362 Code of Practice

  7. Continuous Professional Development • Requirement for Proof Professional Development. – Complete Modules. – Audits. – Attending other training courses (IMI, etc….) – Visiting Exhibitions • NapFM. • Comms Installer. – Other Development activities. • Points awarded based on relevance and time spent on activity. • Minimum 100 points per year, can be ‘rollovered’. • Needs to achieve 300 points over a 3 year period.

Enhanced Patron Scheme FITAS Scheme Patron Benefits – Affiliate membership FCS (Installer section only) – Free to attend any installer conferences (CI, Business Mobile Radio) – Use of the new logos specific for the commitment to FITAS – Mention on the FITAS Website under the Patron Register. – More involvement with FCS to improve standards

Patrons For Installation Companies • The installation companies will be able to use the logo based on the amount of engineers they have on the scheme and are awarded as follows: • Bronze : 1 to 50% of engineers on the scheme. • Silver 50 to 80% of engineers on the scheme. • Gold 80 to 100% of engineers on the scheme. • This will include subcontractors.

  11. Patrons Manufacturers and other supporters • For those who wish to support the scheme financially, or by affinity for example: – Recommendation that engineers work to FITAS accrediation – Specify all engineers they use are FITAS accredited. – FITAS logo on the their product to promote. – Pay towards the scheme
