APPLE In 2011 Apple set itself to have the worlds greenest office space, and also went to great lengths to design a futuristic work space. This included having over 9 foot long work surfaces and 2 inches thick! Not only did they want minimal cantilever supports but also green. The solution – a hollowcore lightweight panel with an integral metal frame which gave them the green certification, the right looks and had a deflection of just 1/8 over the 9 foot span. www.thinklightweight.com
