Fine Arts Vision The vision of Northwest ISD fine arts is to be the premier school district in the state of Texas for the visual and performing arts.
● Northwest ISD is committed to providing every student with the highest level of instruction in the visual and performing arts. ● The comprehensive fine arts program includes studies in the areas of Art, Band, Cheerleading, Choir, Color/Winter Guard, Dance, Debate, Elementary Music, Music Theory, Jazz Band, Orchestra, Speech and Theatre. ● 175 teachers serving more than 23,000 students who receive instruction in the fine arts each week.

Highlights of Program Accomplishments ● Northwest ISD named to national Best Communities for Music Education list for 12 th consecutive year ● District fine arts programs received more than $600,000 in grants in ten-year span ● All music programs that participated in UIL earned at least one Sweepstakes rating ● 327 students selected to 2019 band, choir or orchestra all-region process ● Eight art students advanced to TAEA State VASE event ● Byron Nelson cheer ranked 2 nd and Eaton High School ranked 3 rd at the UIL 6A Cheer Competition ● Northwest theatre advances to UIL 5A Region I One-Act Play Meet ● Byron Nelson, Eaton and Northwest bands earn Division 1 ratings from all judges at UIL Region 2 Marching Band Contest ● Second Northwest ISD middle school dance team performed a district-wide showcase ● Byron Nelson and Northwest nominated for Best Musical at the Betty Lynn Buckley Awards ● Summer enrichment program served more than 400 students ● The Dazzlers, Sapphires, and Sidekicks each performed in a state or national competition, earning top marks including two Grand Championships
