In particular, officers cited the course as improving their awareness of and response to dealing with vulnerable people. HMIC welcomes the significant investment in providing this two-day, classroom-based training to all frontline officers.   3. • To identify the nature and scope of an investigation and understand the initial Investigative skills and file quality Aim: To provide those involved in criminal investigations and file building, with the overall knowledge they require to investigate and manage offences and to successfully prosecute offenders who enter into the Criminal Justice system.
