  3. What’s an apprenticeship? • Apprenticeships allow you to combine work and study by mixing on-the-job training with classroom learning. You'll be employed to do a real job while studying for a formal qualification, usually for one day a week either at a college or a training centre. • Apprenticeships are available to anyone over the age of 16 and have no upper age limit. They schemes offer a pathway for school leavers towards higher education, or a means of fast-tracking a career. National Apprenticeship Service

  5. What can an apprentice earn? The national minimum wage (NMW) for apprentices is £3.90 per hour from April 2019. This is the legal minimum pay per hour, most receive more. The Apprenticeship Pay Survey 2016 estimated the average gross hourly pay received by apprentices in Great Britain was £6.70 an hour for level 2 and 3 apprentices which is equivalent to nearly £14,000 per year. A study by University Education in 2013 found that those who have completed an apprenticeship could see an increased earning of £150,000 over their lifetime. National Apprenticeship Service 5

You can search using keywords, job title, employer, vacancy reference number or by postcode, town, city 4. Click ‘Sign in’ under ‘Create an account’. Fill in your details and create your username and password 5. When you register for the first time you’ll get a confirmation email, enter the 6 digit code to activate your account 6.
