INES as a University of Applied Sciences  In 2008, a research to analyze the position of HLIs in relation to the labor market needs.  Results: a big discrepancy between academic products and the labor market needs.  Biggest issue not really with offered programs but the way they way offered  After consulting with stakeholders and experts from the Netherlands and Germany, the concept of University of Applied Sciences was adopted in 2010 as the solution. Career Guidance and counseling It is one of responsibilities tasked to the Director of Students' Welfare and it is stipulated as follows :  Induction period helps new students to learn more about INES and its programs  Career guidance and counseling programs help students acquire the knowledge, skills, and experience necessary to identify options, explore alternatives and succeed in studies.  Chaplain’s office provides advice and guidance to students  The Chaplain is responsible for assisting the INES community to provide pastoral care and general spiritual, social and emotional comfort to all students.  Dean of students works closely with the Registrar services, Departments and Clubs or Associations.

Perspectives for 2018-2019  Unemployment is a challenge to the world;  INES Research: Unemployment is a major source of instability in the world.  Unemployed youth lose hope and are easily driven to obscure groups including armed groups, terrorists, drugs trafficking and consumption, prostitution etc.  The challenge is not so much about lack of jobs but mostly about misalignment between job requirements and candidates’ skills .
