CREATE A MESSAGE You can compose a message from within Hootsuite. You can add links and media in your message. You will see your connected accounts as options for where message should post. Click the calendar icon to schedule.
WHY SCHEDULE? Capture all followers! It’s impossible to know every time of a day a follower is online. Hootsuite has a built in algorithm which picks the best times of day to post Repost content at various times throughout day Schedule ahead for nights, weekends and holidays
SCHEDULE IN ADVANCE Choose autoschedule and over time Hootsuite will predict patterns of when you will get best reach. You can also let Hootsuite know how many posts you are comfortable scheduling over a period of time so you’re never spamming your followers.
TEAMWORK (NOT ON BASIC ACCOUNTS) Should you be lucky enough to have a social media team… Pro and Enterprise accounts can have multiple users. More than one person can post and schedule, you can see who posted. One platform to build cohesive campaigns. Person A might be comfortable with Facebook while Person B prefers Twitter. Now you can collaborate.
ASSIGNMENTS Once you build a team or multiple teams in one of the premium versions of Hootsuite you can assign items to team members. When would you use this? Well, you might get a comment or questions from someone and not know how to answer, but now you can alert another team member and get them involved. Or you could see something trending and want to add to the conversation, so assign it to someone who might have content to add.
WHAT TO TRACK?? Hootsuite has a lot of built in reporting, your best bet is to poke around and see what it can do. We’ll be talking about Twitter and Facebook engagement. Creating a custom report will all you to ask Hootsuite to email you an update every month.
